Transport Operator – United Kingdom

Job Overview

Job Role

  • Prepare work for our customer and Pre-brief drivers at the Start of shift
  • Co-ordinate the transport operations on site to meet both customer and company expectations
  • Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of Customer vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business
  • Daily Report of customer KPIs and volume calculations
  • Execute customers plan and make changes where necessary to limit stock outs
  • Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are logged and communicated to management and customer in a timely manner
  • First line of communication for the driver workforce.

Skills Required

  • A good understating of fast-paced transport teams
  • Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with Drivers and Customer
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
