Job Overview

Job Duties

  • Conducts forklift, safety and Pit B training programs for employees
  • Conducts scheduled training for all functions in the account for all shifts
  • Arranges and oversees weekly orientation session in basic safety training for new employees
  • Evaluates training effectiveness to ensure employees meet strategic goals and achieve results
  • Makes recommendations to the managers for go or no go into the account
  • Maintains and updates ISO files
  • Sets up and maintains Safety Sam folders
  • Creates monthly safety topics to be administered by Operations
  • Performs safety drills
  • Organizes and oversees annual safety week
  • Organizes and oversees Top Gun set up and training
  • Maintains, renews, and tracks forklift training certification status for personnel
  • Assists new employees in on boarding, to include: new user logins, passwords, equipment and barcode creation
  • Logs trouble tickets with the Corporate IT department and follow ups to ensure quick resolution
  • Other duties as required and assigned


  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant training experience in warehouse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience operating equipment, such as electric pallet jacks, reach truck forklift, sit down forklift and order picker
  • Knowledge of safety compliance for operating equipment
  • PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop and proof training materials
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills
