Shipping Coordinator – Ashville – USA

Job Duties

  • Assigns order or dock task to the appropriate personnel
  • Coordinates with the CSR and Operations Supervisor to determine shipping schedules, labor requirements for rework projects, and cycle counts
  • Ships individual product orders using a Fed-Ex or UPS shipping system
  • Stocks and maintains shipping area with supplies and equipment
  • Ensures address labels are correct by verifying against pick ticket
  • Ensures Bills of Lading (BOL) are completed correctly
  • Audits employees tasks and paperwork to ensure all instructions and processes are followed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders in totes and on pallets or shelves, conveys orders to packing station or shipping department and ensures hazmat requirements are met
  • Wraps products (gaylord/s) for shipment at the end of the day
  • Assists supervisory personnel in overseeing activities
  • Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse by conducting operations in a manner which promotes safety of employees and security of customer’s products
  • Informs supervisor of any unsafe or hazardous working conditions
  • Assists with ensuring operating procedures are being followed and are current
  • Assists with ensuring inventory accuracy
  • Assists with ensuring customers’ expectations are being met and the company is in compliance
  • Manages Customs Documents and Compliance and items related to international shipments
  • Prepares cartons in specified sequence for assembly or shipping by other workers
  • Must have the ability to use IT equipment that includes computer and RF gun
  • Loads, unloads, moves, stacks and stages products and materials using a fork lift, clamp truck or other power equipment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years related experience and /or training; or an equivalent combination of educations and experience
  • Experience with warehouse equipment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel
  • Multiple warehouse management system training preferred
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
