Senior Accounting Director – Brentwood – USA

Analyzes, recommends and implements tactical strategies to ensure the integrity and compliance of internal financial controls
Creates and recommends policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with governing requirements
Assists executive management in evaluating and anticipating current business transactions and potential business opportunities
Provides applicable balance sheet account reconciliations and income statement analytics
Oversees and troubleshoots indirect tax reporting and auditing
Plans, develops and implements goals, objectives and practices for efficient and cost effective management and allocation of resources
Assists operations and FP&A team members with understanding financial results
Analyzes and prepares timely review of new contracts (lease and customer); (for what purpose)
Collaborates as necessary with other divisional and corporate accounting leads
Prepares annual budget for respective department and business unit/s
Maintains chart of accounts for domestic divisions
Provides external audit assistance and quality maintenance as necessary
Monitors financial systems for specific areas of responsibility
Trains and develops accounting staff
Other duties as required and assigned

Minimum 8 years increasing accounting experience
Minimum 5 years management experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a 4 year college or University
CPA preferred
Must be PC literate and proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Strong knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
