Sales Manager (Remote) (External Sales) – UK

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

•Generate pipeline through cold calling and respond to RFI/RFQ from lead generation activities from website, inbound Calls, social media, and email campaigns from DHL/Gerlach leads for larger businesses
•Attend networking events and trade shows
•Book & attend virtual/face to face meetings, giving Gerlach presentations
•Collaborate with SME Team to escalate opportunities
•Responsible for maintaining and updating pipeline reports
•Create proposals for tenders
•Work directly with UK Head of Sales

Skills Required

•Experienced in Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, including building PowerPoint presentations, using Excel to generate reports and using Teams, Zoom, Skype for Conference meetings
•Minimum 2 years’ experience in BDM role
•Work autonomously to develop successful new business acquisition strategies
•Has proven, and demonstrable track-record of hitting and exceeding KPI targets.
•Must have excellent communication skills with the capability to create and deliver key presentations
•Work within a structured team environment with internal team, external team and senior stakeholders
•Work on tenders, creating professional proposal/value propositions
•Demonstrate superb negotiating skill

Additional Desirable Attributes

•The successful candidate will have several year’s experience working successfully in Logistics or related industries in a BDM role.
•Demonstrate a basic knowledge of Customs & Excise import/export
•We would also consider experienced BDM Sales professionals who have taken a break from the industry or viable candidates with a strong sales background in BDM B2B sales in service-based sectors i.e. facilities, advertising media, with demonstrable skills in handling tenders and contracts proposals with a value exceeding 100-250K
