Pallet Network Operator – Avonmouth – UK

We are seeking an experienced Pallet Network Operator to join our dynamic team in Avonmouth, Bristol. As a Pallet Network Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of our pallet network, drivers, planning, and routing.

Key Responsibilities

Pallet Network Management

•  Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operations of our pallet network.
•  Ensure efficient and timely collection, delivery, and distribution of palletized goods.
•  Monitor and maintain high service levels, addressing any issues that may arise.

Driver Management

• Oversee a team of drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
•  Assign and schedule driver routes, optimizing efficiency and minimizing delivery times.
• Provide guidance and support to drivers, addressing any concerns or issues.

Planning and Routing

• Develop and implement effective planning and routing strategies.
• Optimize delivery routes to minimize mileage, reduce fuel consumption, and maximize efficiency.
• Utilize routing software and tools to plan and track deliveries effectively.

Customer Relationship Management

•  Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
• Ensure clear communication and timely updates regarding deliveries, delays, and any other relevant information.

Operational Efficiency

• Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
•  Identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate measures.
•  Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in pallet network operations, preferably within a similar industry.
• Strong knowledge of drivers’ regulations, compliance, and best practices.
• Proficiency in planning and routing software/tools.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing operational demands.
• A valid driver’s license is desirable but not mandatory.

Salary

£25,000 – £30,000 p/a dependent on experience, along with opportunities for growth and development within our organization
