Job Description

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Ocean Export Department.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Understand and ensure a smooth process flow and look for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
Deliver creative cargo routing solutions to customers and colleagues
Work both independently and collaboratively to problem solve unique business challenges. Escalate problems to Management when necessary
Provide exceptional customer service, both internally and externally
Effectively communicate (internally and externally) and provide timely responses to emails and requests
Review documentation for compliance with international trade regulations
Prepare and process international documentation
Meet compliance at all times to regulations internal and external in accordance with government regulations
Track and Trace Ocean Export Files and reporting
Ensure all customers standard operating procedures in place and updated in the SOPs
Invoice customers accurately and timely, for services provided

2 years Ocean Export/Industry experience preferred
Understanding of ocean documentation process a plus
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend,
Effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point)
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to adapt to changes
High level of attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Strong communication skills
