Shift pattern: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:30, 40 hours per week (with the option to work a rotational pattern with 09:00–17:30 one week and 08:00-16:30 the other)

Location: DHL Aviation at East Midlands Airport (Hybrid Working)

Key responsibilities include:

  • Making a positive contribution to the departmental KPI’s
  • Responding to customer enquiries by phone or electronically.
  • Ensuring customer contact is carried out in a professional, speedy, accurate and compliant manner linked to our ‘Insanely Customer Centric Culture’
  • Liaising with customers and network contacts to handle customs clearance through to the declaration stage
  • Where possible, clearing shipments before they arrive to minimise disruption
  • Using the in-house electronic data system to help with clearance and record information
  • Supporting DHL Express and our internal operation colleagues with queries and general challenges
  • Maintaining compliant processes with Customs and our customers

You’ll bring to this role:

  • Proven, demonstrable skills in organisation technology and communications
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • The ability to clearly present and communicate information both verbal and written
  • Skills in managing external relationships effectively
  • Resilience and confidence working in a pressured, fast-paced environment
  • PC Literate (Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications)
