Job Description

  • To develop and maintain collaborative and productive relationships with colleagues, all site functions, and service providers, establishing professional credibility
  • To provide a dedicated HR and Payroll advisory service in relation to payroll queries, absence, restricted duties, conduct and capability, grievance matters, recruitment, employee engagement, organisational change and employee/industrial relations matters
  • To take the lead on the management of absence, including making recommendations, giving advice/coaching and support to managers, liaising with Occupational Health, supporting with AMP/health review meetings, and other absence related meetings
  • Create and maintain a positive team culture, by actively encouraging involvement from all individuals within the HR & Payroll Team.
  • To prepare regular and ad hoc management information reports, as agreed, to support continuous improvement.
  • To assist in the design and delivery of development workshops in areas of HR best practice, to enhance knowledge and skills across the site

Skills Required

  • Experience of working in an HR and Payroll environment, preferably in logistics, undertaking a broad range of tasks including working with and advising line managers on employee relations issues and dealing with payroll related issues
  • People Management
  • Able to interpret and implement HR Policy and procedures
  • Preferably CIPD Qualified or studying towards
