Freight Operations Lead – Odessa – USA

What you’ll do on a typical day

• Oversee and execute prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Tracking and correcting shipping errors
• Serve as teams primary contact for routine or more non-routine escalated issues.
• Works with appropriate departments on resolving escalated issues posed by team members, management, and customers.
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods of time.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Adhere to world-class quality standards of performance and oversee adherence to processes to meet quality expectations and goals.
• Provide thoughtful feedback analysis, operational monitoring, troubleshooting and error solution to prevent inaccuracies and drive process excellence.

What you need to succeed at XPO

At a minimum, you’ll need

• 4 years of LTL, supply chain, warehouse or similar logistics experience.
• Experience documenting classification corrections.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

It’d be great if you also have

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience with weights and inspections
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills

This job requires the ability to

• Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 50 lbs. occasionally)
• Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
