Job Overview

The points below highlight the Station Manager duties

  • Manages P&Ls against budget and all accounting associated with station
  • Reviews AR/AP reports and resolves discrepancies
  • Reviews various other reports daily ensuring timely billing and movement of cargo
  • Maintains positive vendor relationships through timely payment of vendor’s invoices
  • Monitors expenses, and reduces unnecessary spending
  • Maintains an international inbound and outbound transportation program Communicates with agents to ensure timely movement of cargo
  • Maintains high compliance standards for Customs Brokerage by keeping abreast of new regulations affecting customers, ensuring requests from Customs are handled timely fashion, and through research classifications for clients, as well as reviewing the accuracy of POAs
  • Trains and motivates employees by providing employees with information regarding new regulations as it pertains to their jobs, offering guidance and assistance to direct reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4 year college or university
  • Minimum 5 years experience in international logistics (freight forwarding and customs brokerage experience optimal); or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 3 years experience managing a station in the Global Transportation industry
  • Customs Brokerage License preferred
