Freight Forwarding – Business Development Manager

Salary: $Negotiable + Commission + Benefits 

Location: Jacksonville, USA

Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development

  • Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate in bid preparation and negotiation with customers, suppliers, and international agents.
  • Support sales campaigns and events with local and overseas partners.
  • Coordinate sales visits domestically and internationally to foster business growth.
  • Strategically manage personal business portfolio in alignment with market strategy.
  • Conduct joint sales visits with colleagues.
  • Promptly respond to and follow up on sales inquiries and leads.

Client and Supplier Management

  • Manage allocated clients, surpassing set targets using established tools.
  • Facilitate onboarding processes with internal teams and uphold standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct weekly follow-ups with new clients post-shipment.
  • Disseminate contract information to all concerned parties.
  • Ensure professional and responsible execution of client entertainment activities to uphold Traffic Tech’s reputation.
  • Address customer requests promptly and uphold service level agreements.

Administration

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Provide regular sales activity reports.
  • Participate in meetings with the US sales team.
  • Engage in training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated success in sales within transportation/logistics (3PL experience preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Tenacious and disciplined with a tactful approach.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Vibrant personality with high energy and adaptability.
  • Positive attitude and enjoyment of collaborative work.
  • Experience engaging with C-suite executives is advantageous.
