Our client is an Industry leading Truckload Brokerage company grown from the roots of a 400 MM+ manufacturing conglomerate backed by a unique ownership with over 40 years of manufacturing and transportation experience. They are currently expanding their service portfolio and they are currently seeking a Business Development Specialist to develop, grow, and implement successful sales strategies and build client relationships. You will be responsible for planning and executing sales, marketing and product development programs that will meet and exceed pre-determined targets and increase their market share. In the coming months, they plan to launch their new services and products in new markets and look forward to adding Creative, energetic successful sales staff to the team.
Account Specialist Responsibilities:
Create and Implement strategic sales and marketing plans that successfully achieve business objectives
Monitor competitors’ product, including relevant sales and marketing data
Use available data to accurately forecast sales and set appropriate performance goals
Develop and maintain positive relationships with key clients, including negotiating and closing on major contracts.
Maintain your existing client base and simultaneously prospect for new clients and opportunities.
Sales Hunter with a 70%-30% Inside to Outside Sales call program. Targeted sales approach.
Business Development Specialist skills/requirements:
Previous experience in Freight Forwarding, LTL- Less than Truckload transportation or Logistics sales with demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets and goals.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present strategy and results to Senior staff members at every level of the organization.
Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with current and prospective clients
Demonstrated skill in negotiating and closing on critical sales contracts and opportunities.
