Job Overview

Job Duties

  •  Partners with the Operations Team and Senior Management to develop increasingly efficient processes that impact and support the business (Examples may include improved linkages between operational drivers and the financials, trend analysis, KPIs, bridging results, forecasting and budgeting efficiency)
  • Develops and maintains financial reporting to identify risks and opportunities in the business and partners with the business operations leadership team to address
  • Develops appropriate metrics to measure growth, improve profitability, control expenses and enhance productivity
  • Delivers innovative, high value-added financial information to the management team for decision making
  • Identifies and implements process efficiencies to improve productivity and quality of forecasts.
  • Provides financial and analytical support and analysis for business unit strategic initiatives
  • Manages all aspects of the annual budgeting process
  • Supports the Real Estate Strategy by evaluating contract / lease terms to identify space risk and develop mitigation plans
  • Leads process improvement initiatives for the Contract Logistics Field Finance organization
  • Conducts contract reviews for customer renewals and evaluates related pricing proposals
  • Establishes and maintains controls to ensure compliance with Corporate Governance Policies
  • Provides monthly Board of Director reporting and analysis
  • Performs ad-hoc tasks and various business projects using tools to improve financial processes and increase productivity
  • Trains and develops financial analysts and other members of the Finance organization
  • Other duties as required and assigned


  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business (Finance preferred) from a 4 year college or university
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 7 years finance experience
  • Financial analysis / management reporting experience in large or midsized corporation
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems
  • Experience with Hyperion preferred
  • PC literate to include Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access and financial modelling tools
  • Highly motivated team player, who applies logical thinking, well-reasoned analysis and strong business acumen to solve complex problems
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present financial information and respond to questions from groups of managers, executives, customers, team members, and co-workers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, growing, and fast-paced environment
