Provide assistance to Sales staff members (Quotation preparation, Rate inquiries to overseas, etc.)
Creating and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures for Inside Sales Position
Setting up new accounts (SOP, obtaining credit application & POA, etc.)
Maintaining up to date information for all customers
New business development through telesales and Account Management
Maintaining existing customers and new customer visits when it is necessary
Cross training to all functions in Freight Forwarding Operations
Generating and calculating freight quotations and sales documents
Liaising with third parties to move goods (by road, rail, air or sea) in accordance with customer requirements
Coordinating US Customs Brokerage to guide the freight efficiently through complex import procedures
Working closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operation to meet deadlines
Maintaining communication and control through all phases of the journey, including the production of reports and statistics
Maintaining current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations and other factors that could affect the movement of freight
Managing multiple customers across the globe coordinating shipments between multiple carriers and modes of transportation
Knowledge of state, federal and international applicable laws and regulations as they relate to primary services provided (i.e. Customs, Security, other import & export government agencies)
Supporting Freight Forwarding Operations as required

High school diploma / GED
Minimum 3 years operational freight forwarding experience
