BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are working on behalf of a global Freight Forwarder, recruiting for an Outside Sales / BDM role.

Job Description:

Sales Executive required by a privately-owned international freight forwarder whose focus is on the Air & Ocean freight movement of General Cargo. The Sales Executive is required to develop new business opportunities across the United Kingdom and internationally.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Identify, approach and close new business in road freight solutions

· Attend relevant trade shows or business networking events to develop potential client network

· Work with overseas freight forwarding partners to create mutually beneficial business opportunities

· Conduct face to face meetings with prospective clients – primarily importers and exporters

· Update the company CRM with sales activity

· Support the operations team (Road import / Road export and Groupage clerks) with managing existing business

Requirements:

· Experienced at selling road freight solutions to clients across the United Kingdom and Internationally

· Knowledge of West & East European freight trade routes

· Past sales accomplishment within the freight forwarding industry

Experience:

· Minimum of 12 months freight forwarding sales experience

· Have worked as either a sales executive, sales manager or Business Development Manager previously
