Air Import Manager – Grapevine – USA

Key Responsibilities

• Manages, oversees, and performs leadership tasks to direct and control activities performed to effectively manage the end to end Air Freight Import department
• Assigning specific duties to employees as required.
• Ensuring all employees are fully trained in all aspects of the Air Import operations as well as cross-trained in other areas when possible.
• Oversee the customer rate quote process
• Ensure customer profiles are accurate and updates
• Respond to customer inquiries and other related customer service functions
• Ensure continuous improvement processes to increase efficiencies, reduces waste and improve performance to our customers

Skills / Requirements

• 3+ years Airfreight Import experience in the freight forwarding industry required
• 1+ years’ leadership experience required
• Experience using CargoWise software is a plus
• Temperature-controlled, perishable, DG / Hazmat experience a plus
• Experience with P&L (Profit and Loss) statements and management a plus
• Experience working in a unionized environment a plus
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Understands basic managerial approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action
• Excellent customer service skills
