Job Description

The Air Export Gateway Agent role is a key part of Expeditors’ transportation network that is responsible for ensuring the most efficient, profitable, and secure consolidation and movement services are provided for our region(s) and Air product.

This position contributes to the operational tasks of the Air Export Gateway Department, including, but not limited to, the collection of bookings and pricing from market carriers, the management of carrier services, the transfer of information and operational necessities to our warehousing teams, the development and oversight of compliance with SOP pertinent to business service, the management of procurement cost and the reporting of those costs to leadership and regional staff, and the management of KPI metrics relative to required process procedures.

The Air Export Gateway Agent role reports to the Air Export Gateway Supervisor, and supports our branches, staff, and air product within the N. America region.

Qualifications

 

  • 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to define, develop, and document business processes and procedures
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate, and concisely obtain positive results
  • Intermediate abilities with MS Office suites, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Customer service-oriented attitude and time management skills
