Job Description

As an Air and Ocean Import Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing the import operations for our clients. You will be responsible for coordinating the transportation of goods via air and ocean, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the import process. This is a dynamic position that requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end import operations, including document preparation, customs clearance, and delivery coordination.
• Collaborate with international suppliers, carriers, and agents to arrange efficient transport of goods.
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, including customs documentation, duty calculations, and tariff classification.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing regular updates to clients and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of imported goods.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all import activities.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing inquiries and resolving customer concerns.
• Stay updated with industry regulations, trends, and best practices related to air and ocean import operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred but not required).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in air and/or ocean import operations.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and import documentation requirements.
• Familiarity with transportation management systems and software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 – $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
